Ladushki, ladushki
BB can now clap his hands, but he only does so to this song that his grandma sings him in Russian. According to her, the very loose English translation goes something like this: “This is so great, we went to babushka’s house and drank!” I guess if you’re only going to clap to one thing…

Another day, another grocery store trip
Today in the check out line, I let bb gnaw on some squash. He had yellow squash in one hand and zucchini in the other. I encouraged him to bang them together, but as usual he wanted to eat them. He sunk his teeth into the zucchini, made a face, went back for seconds, made a face again, looked at it, then unceremoniously dropped it over the side of the cart.

Wino in Training
Today at the grocery store, I was trying to pick out some wine and bb was begging to hold the bottle (begging as in leaning forward with outstretched arms yelling AHHHHHH!”). I gave in because he’d been a bit fussy for the past several minutes and it was nothing to me if he held the bottle and clinked his teeth on it for a minute.

green onions and funny faces
BB went for a green onion today in the grocery store check out line and I said, “Ok, but you won’t like it…” He took one bite and said “uuuggghhh” while shuddering. “Told you,” I said. Though before I knew it, he was going back for another bite. Silly bb!
Everything is hilarious
My baby has the best sense of humor, ever! All day long, I hear him laughing at something. <3

Beeb now makes himself laugh and it’s the best thing ever. Earlier today, he was banging on something crinkly and then cracking up. It went like this:
Bang, bang! “Haaaa hahahaHA haHA ahhhh” Bang, bang! “Haaa hahahaHA haHA ahhhhh”
Moving from Laughing with Me to Laughing at Me.
It used to be that I would do something funny and Beeb would laugh. But recently all he has to do is look at me and he’ll start laughing, like I’m just hilarious-looking. Thanks a lot, Beeb!
bb vs cheerios
I gave the bb cheerios while in his high chair today. He brushed them all on to his lap. Except for a few that he picked up, looked at, and then dropped.

Whenever bb does something I don’t want him to do, I tell him that we don’t do that in our family. I feel like that’s the new “because I said so” but it works for me. Anyway, it’s gotten to ridiculous proportions and is a running joke between me and my sister.

Baby Shower
My mom, sister, bb, and I went to a baby shower today. It was for someone my mom works for. We showed up and my mom took B and said, “Hey, I brought a baby for the baby shower!”
They all couldn’t stop commenting on how good B was. And I was like, well duh, he’s the best bb ever!

I love snuggling with a cuddly bb.
And I love that my bb is one of the least mobile bbs probably ever. I still need to bb proof.
Cavewoman Mama
Today in the car, I found myself saying to a fussy baby, “BB, we home soon.” I used to be articulate and well-spoken, but I guess those days are gone.

Sometimes when I change his diaper, BB grabs his junk and yanks it every which way, to which I respond, “OMG, be careful with that, you’re going to need it one day.”

More Vomit
B has thrown up about three more times and none of them were as lucky as the first two times. Fortunately, I anticipated that the sick would continue and wore old clothes.
Anyway, a dr’s visit ruled out the flu (and they didn’t even charge me for the flu test <3), ear infection, and food poisoning. So, it’s just a little bug that has to run its course. If he’s...
Poor, Sick BB
Bb had a fever today and was so miserable. The most miraculous thing happened though. He threw up while I was holding him, and while some of his vomit got in my hair and on the newly cleaned sheets, it completely missed the brand new shirt I was wearing.
